Clear Call to Action Perusing through websites, one often has trouble finding contact information. Companies spend significant dollars driving customers to their websites, but consumers often end up leaving immediately when they are unable to easily find the phone number or contact information. The bounce rate is also high (along with the frustration level) when the “buy” button is not easy to find or, worse yet, when it takes you somewhere else rather than to the shopping cart. It is imperative that you have your specific Call to Action information on every page. Your Call to Action should be well thought out and split tested. If you have a phone number (by the way, you should) then make sure it is easy to find. If you want them to email first, list the email address and make sure you are clear on when to expect a reply. If you do not want people calling, develop a comprehensive Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. We highly recommend including your phone number. It proves you exist and gives the prospect assurance they can make a call if necessary. |
